You wrote your Will and can now forget all about it, right?
Not necessarily!
We recommend reviewing your Will every few years to ensure that it still meets your wishes.
We know that things can change quickly in life and big life events can change how you wish your estate to be distributed and in some cases who will now inherit your assets.

Marriage – If you were to marry or enter a civil partnership any previous Will you have written is automatically invalid and your new spouse/civil partner will inherit your entire estate as per the rules of intestacy.
Having children – Updating your Will to include any children you have would allow you to provide for their future as well as naming guardians should anything happen to you.
Buying a property/Moving property – A property is generally the biggest asset people own therefore it is important to include it in your Will.
Divorce – Once you divorce your former spouse/civil partner will no loner inherit from your estate meaning you may need to change your beneficiaries depending on your circumstances.
Death of someone named in your Will – This could be a Beneficiary, Executor or even a Guardian. You may need to choose someone else to act in their place if you have not named reserves.
